IntegraCredit Review 2022

Written on 23 March 2022

Our best overall loan services:

What is Integra Credit?

Integra Credit, a division of Integra Bank is a small lender offering some of the best credit card rates on new purchases for those with good to excellent credit . It has some of the lowest fees in the industry and its intro rate is one of the longest available at 0%; but there are some caveats that keep this card from being perfect.

Introduction: The first and foremost thing to know is that Integra Credit is a division of Integra Bank, which is about as unassuming as you can get in the credit industry—it's not owned by a huge bank or financial institution. Many products offered through Integra Credit require an account with the bank, but credit cards are not one of them.

Integra Credit's parent company is Integra Bank, which it gets its name from.

How does Integra Credit Work?

There are a few things you'll need before we get into what the card has to offer: an open checking account with Integra Bank, good credit and about $100.

To apply for this card, you'll need: An open checking account with Integra Bank A FICO score of at least 680 $100

Integra Credit operates exclusively online, and it's one of the few lenders that do so. You can either apply through its website or over the phone. If you choose the former, you'll need your bank account information and a $100 deposit to get started; this is used as collateral should you default on any payments.

Integra Credit Repayment Process

This is where the " demerits " start to reveal themselves: payments are processed via check, and they take a full two weeks to hit your account. If you don't have $100 sitting around as collateral, or if you simply prefer credit cards as a form of payment, this isn't the card for you.

If we look at the other end of the spectrum, late fees are also somewhat steep.

If you miss your payment by 10 days or more, expect to pay a $30 fee. This is just for being an hour late. To put that into perspective, if you were to be 1 minute past due on a credit card with a typical 29.99

This card comes with a 0% intro APR for 12 months on balance transfers, but there is a fee of 3% which you have to pay when the transfer posts. After that introductory period, the variable rate goes up to 17.99%, which is among the best in the industry.

Why is the APR so high?

This card doesn't offer a rewards program or any sort of statement credit. It's primarily a balance transfer card with an above-average intro APR .

While this is not really a standout feature, it also doesn't have any of the downsides that come with other cards, like steep fees and high-interest rates on purchases after the introductory period expires.

It charges no annual fee and has a 0% intro APR on balance transfers for 12 months.

The APRs after the introductory period is 0% to 17.99%. This may seem low, but this is due to the 3% fee on transfers. There are other cards out there with no fee, so consider those if you think you'll transfer a balance from another card.
